Leanne Simmons

About Me

Leanne is a physiotherapist from London, England passionate about all things lower limb rehabilitation. Leanne studied her undergraduate degree in Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Brighton, UK before then returning to the same institution to complete her masters to qualify as a physiotherapist. 

Leanne has gained a lot of her experience in the NHS and in the private sector, working with Sports Physiotherapists and Sports Physicians. Through this, she has developed an interest in lower limb rehabilitation, implementing both manual techniques and exercise prescription to get her patients back to recreation in a safe and effective way. She has completed courses in acupuncture and has also completed an imaging course at Hertfordshire University. She worked as a physiotherapist at the Commonwealth Games, assisting with the athletics team.

Leanne is also passionate about practice-based education, facilitating and shaping the next generation of UK based physiotherapists, in her role working at the University of East London. 

As a Londoner, Leanne is normally found whizzing around town on her bike, listening to a podcast, or following her beloved Tottenham Hotspur FC. Since moving down under, Leanne has taken to CrossFit and has rekindled her love of reading.
