Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy

Pelvic floor physiotherapy is used to assist with conditions of the pelvic floor. Everyone has a pelvic floor, yes even men, and therefore it is an area of physiotherapy that may be required at some point throughout most people’s lives. Pelvic floor physiotherapy involves the assessment and treatment of the muscles of the abdomen, lower back, pelvis and hips. Pelvic floor physiotherapy can be useful for women during pregnancy and after birth, women transitioning through menopause, people with urinary leakage or continence issues or people with pelvic pain.

Emily has completed post graduate training at Melbourne University in Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy.
