Real-Time Ultrasound

Real-Time Ultrasound is imaging that Physiotherapists can assess and treat the way the deep muscles activate for low back and pelvic stability, hip function, and thoracic control.

Real-time ultrasound enables us to visualize deep structures that can’t be palpated otherwise. This is particularly useful for stability muscles such as deep abdominal stabilisers, paravertebral stability muscles, pelvic floor and deep hip rotators. The other unique form of this imaging is that it demonstrates the anatomical structures through movement. Therefore you can see how you activate and recruit muscles.
